What is behaviour support?

If you're looking for support for yourself, or someone you love:  hello!   Sometimes, supports can talk about you as if you're not in the room. That's not how we work.

When something in life isn't right, when you're in pain, not understood, or stuck in an environment that doesn't fit, it often shows up in our behaviour. There's a reason, even when it's hard to see.

Our job as Behaviour Support Practitioners is to build a plan with you that changes things: the environment, the supports, the skills, the way the people around you respond. The goal is a richer everyday life, with fewer hard moments for everyone.

It's clinical work, but most of it happens at a kitchen table, not in a clinic.

01 We come to you

Home, school, supported accommodation, or wherever life happens.

02 We build the plan together

We work out what's behind the behaviour and write a plan with you that changes things: environment, supports, skills.

03 We stick around

We train the people who support you and check the plan is working in real life, not just on paper.

04 We review & adjust

Sometimes things need to change. We keep reviewing the plan and adjust where needed. That's part of the process.

Who we support

We work with people of all ages and abilities, bringing genuine clinical depth to complex cases, particularly psychiatric co-morbidity and multi-agency coordination.

Boudicea (Bo) Hodgson is a Registered Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychology Registrar with a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), a Master of Brain and Mind Sciences (Neuroscience), and a Master of Clinical Neuropsychology.

She founded Richer Support to raise the standard of behaviour support in Australia, bringing clinical rigour to work that's too often reduced to paperwork. Bo named the practice after her dad, Richard. Richer: a richer life, not just a compliant one.

A small team, across the country.

We're deliberately small. A handful of practitioners, not a call centre. You'll always know exactly who's working with you. We come to you, in person, in:
